Capital Health shares the cost of mandatory benefits with employees. Group Insurance is offered to Capital Health through several agencies.
- SSQ (Out-of-Country Travel Insurance)
- Great-West Life
- Manulife
- Medavie Blue Cross/HANS (NSNU members)
The insurance program you are enrolled in depends on your union or employee group. Eligible Capital Health employees may enroll in the following group insurance types.
- Accidental Death & Disability (basic and voluntary)
- Critical Illness Insurance
- Dental
- Dependent Critical Illness Insurance
- Life Insurance (basic, optional, dependent)
- Medical
- Out of Country Coverage

You will receive enrollment information upon hire and a Great-West Life card will be mailed to you (if applicable). Any changes to your employment status may affect your benefits. If so, you will be contacted by the Benefits department with more information.
