Capital Health storm closures

Today's winter storm has affected some of Capital Health's services. If services or clinics are closed or have been cancelled, patients will be contacted. Capital Health staff should report to work as usual, unless otherwise notified by their manager.Parking is free in all locations until 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19.

Emergency departments are open as usual. Cafeterias at the Victoria General and Halifax Infirmary are open although there may be limited menu options. 

Halifax Infirmary blood collection remains open until 3 p.m. for urgent collections.

What's closed:

Capital Health outpatient blood collection is closed today for routine collection at the following locations:

Capital Health business offices.

Public Health Drop In clinics, International Travel Health Clinic and Burnside offices. 

The shuttle that travels between the VG and HI sites of the QEII is not running until roads are cleared. Porter services can accommodate some special requests. 

The Mental Health Clinic at the Hants Community Hospital is closed.   

Cobequid Endoscopy Clinic closed.

Twin Oaks CEC closed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
