Celebration honouring diversity bursary recipients to take place Sept. 17

Monday, August 31, 2015 - 4:13pm

Nova Scotia Health Authority's Central Zone, in partnership with the Community Health Boards, initiated a diversity bursary last fall for African Nova Scotian, Aboriginal and immigrant students, as well as students with a disability, who are studying in a health profession.  We have selected eight recipients and are having a celebration to recognize the students on Sept. 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Bethune Ballroom, Bethune Building, VG site, QEII, 1276 South Park St., Halifax.

We hope you’ll join us in this celebration, which includes a presentation to the recipients, a comedy act by Stand Up for Mental Health, a performance by Cedar Festival dancers as well as a few words from leaders in the health care system. Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the program.
