NSHA Central Zone salutes volunteers

The Central Zone of Nova Scotia Health Authority celebrated volunteer week April 12 to 18 with events at several sites as a way to say thank you. Almost 2,000 volunteers share their unique talents and  skills to support  patients, clients, residents and families in more than 400 volunteer programs throughout our facilities.
 
Many volunteers from the QEII Health Science Centre and the Addictions and Mental Health program, Dartmouth attended a long-service breakfast April 14. They were serenaded by the QE Tunes choir under the direction of Basia Solarz. Thirty-seven volunteers were recognized at the breakfast for their years of service.
 
Cobequid Community Health Centre celebrated its volunteers also on April 14 with a tea social. Approximately 30 people were celebrated.
 
Hants Community Hospital and held a luncheon April 16 for 75 volunteers at the Royal Canadian Legion in Windsor.
