Therapeutic Assistant Role Profile

Therapeutic Assistants work with individual patients with complex needs across Capital Health. They work in treatment facilities and in the community. By providing and fostering positive experiences, Therapeutic Assistants support patients on a one-to-one basis in achieving specific goals identified in the interdisciplinary care plan.

They are supervised while providing opportunities for patients to become more independent in their daily living while supporting teaching leisure and social needs.
Therapeutic Assistants have strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of behaviour management techniques, along with recreation and leadership skills.
